What you will do:

Oversee the daily departmental functions of the Financial Support Department. Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all work assignments in accordance with bank policies and generally accepted accounting practices.

Required Skills

  • 2 - 3 years Retail Banking experience preferred

  • 1 - 3 years supervisory experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or comparable work experience preferred

  • Knowledge of accounting operations and financial systems

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities

  • Excellent PC skills (downloading techniques, database/report writing)

  • Detail-oriented

Required Experience

Assist the Manager with overall administration and management of daily department functions. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all department responsibilities.

Assist staff and branch management in evaluating unusual situations relating to Financial Support Services and recommend cost effective and timely resolutions to problems. Develop and implement operational procedures and controls and recommend new methods or processes to reduce processing costs and improve service.

Assist with preparation and review of specialized Managerial reports for budget, product, and financial analysis. Assist with the preparation, review, and distribution of operating budgets for the Banking Operations Department. Utilize technical skills such as data-base manipulation, creation of spreadsheets, and downloads to facilitate General Ledger proofs and account reconciliation. Develop automated solutions whenever possible.

Coach, develop, and motivate staff to ensure first class support and high levels of productivity. Audit work performed by staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Develop and enhance workflows as necessary to improve quality and productivity.

Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. Perform additional accountabilities as required.
